At Mars United, we believe powerful growth happens when strategy, creativity and commerce work together. As Client Services Director, you'll lead our Client Services function in Australia and play a pivotal role on the Senior Leadership Team.

This is a senior, people‐first leadership role where you'll shape the strategic direction of the agency, strengthen high‐value client partnerships and champion transformational growth across our integrated service offering — including Strategy & Analytics, Digital Commerce, Content & Experiences and Retail Consultancy.

You'll be trusted to lead with clarity, empathy and commercial acumen — inspiring teams, partnering closely with clients, and ensuring Mars United is seen as a true strategic growth partner.

This is a 12-month parental leave contract and we are open to applicants in either Sydney or Melbourne that have full unrestricted working rights in Australia.

Role Responsibilities

* Provide strategic leadership across the Australian Client Services team, working closely with the Managing Director and Senior Leadership Team
* Lead, inspire and develop high‐performing client teams, fostering a culture of accountability, trust and collaboration
* Build deep, trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders, acting as a strategic advisor and growth partner
* Drive integrated client action plans that deliver measurable business growth and long‐term partnerships
* Champion client satisfaction, business reviews and engagement initiatives across all touchpoints
* Identify and unlock organic growth opportunities within existing client portfolios
* Contribute to new business pitches, pipeline development and agency growth initiatives
* Partner with cross‐functional teams to develop compelling proposals, case studies and award‐worthy work
* Ensure strong commercial performance, including revenue growth, client retention and profitability
* Role‐model inclusive leadership behaviours and actively contribute to a positive, high‐performing agency culture

Desired Experience & Attributes

* Extensive experience leading senior client relationships within a marketing, media, commerce or communications environment
* Proven ability to operate at a senior leadership level, influencing both clients and internal stakeholders
* Strong commercial acumen, with experience driving growth, profitability and long‐term client partnerships
* Demonstrated experience leading and developing cross‐functional teams in complex agency environments
* Confidence translating business objectives into integrated marketing, commerce and experience solutions
* A collaborative, people‐centred leadership style with a passion for developing talent
* An entrepreneurial mindset, with curiosity, resilience and a desire to build what's next
