About the Role
An experienced Strategic Planner will contribute to strategic projects informing future changes to the Manningham Planning Scheme. The role is situated in the City Planning Team and involves preparation of the Neighbourhood Activity Centre Design Guidelines, Structure Plans, and introduction of planning controls to manage natural hazards. The successful candidate will respond to a range of state government planning initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Contribute to strategic projects that inform future changes to the Manningham Planning Scheme.
* Respond to state government planning initiatives.
* Prepare Neighbourhood Activity Centre Design Guidelines and Structure Plans.
* Introduce planning controls to manage natural hazards.
Qualifications & Experience
* Demonstrated understanding of land use planning practices, principles, and emerging trends.
* Demonstrated ability to undertake demographic research and policy development.
* Well‐developed project management and communication skills.
* Ability to identify and analyse key issues and emerging trends relevant to land use planning.
* Knowledge of State Government planning reforms and current issues related to local government.
* Ability to develop and monitor project budgets.
