The Future Generation Joint Venture brings together the combined engineering experience and expertise of WeBuild, Clough and Lane and has been selected to design construct Snowy 2.0. This project is based within the Snowy Mountains in NSW and will deliver one of the largest pumped hydro schemes in the world.
Snowy 2.0 is the next chapter in the Snowy Scheme's history. It is the largest committed renewable energy project in Australia and will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come. This Iconic Project has and will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history.
Purpose of the Role:
The purpose of the electrical supervisor is to provide technical leadership with regards to the electrical design of the project. This requires managing the design production of the specialist sub-consultants to provide value engineered design solutions. The electrical shop supervisor will plan, organise, lead and control site operations for compliance with the construction programme ensuring consistency in terms of, and in order to, ensure safety, cost, time, quality, environmental, community targets are achieved.
Qualifications:
* Electrical Trade Qualification or trade qualification in a similar discipline
* White Card
* C Class Driver's License
* Formal training in workplace training and assessment - desirable
Experience:
* Minimum 5 Years' experience in the supervision of Building/ Civil projects on mine and Petrochemical sites in Australia, experience working in chemical processing environment would be 'highly regarded'.
* Experience in basic use of Microsoft Office Suite, data and file recording.
* Experience in Safety, Community and Environmental Management
* Experience in Quality Management
* Experience in Planning & Resourcing
* Ability to lead and manage teams
* Demonstrate initiative and creative problem-solving skills
* Practical knowledge and understanding of computers and Microsoft software packages.
* Good communication skill, both oral and written
* Self motivated.
* Mechanical or Electrical Trade background
* Ability to implement and follow through on multiple issues and to achieve productive results
* Sound interpersonal skills
* Ability to work collaboratively
* Ability to work to deadlines and targets and can prioritise tasks under pressure
* Good organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
* The ability to work quickly, effectively and positively in a demanding environment
* The ability to work well under pressure
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to drive performance and the lead a team.
