Job Description
Reporting into the Supervisor, Electrical, you shall be responsible for providing the highest quality services, all services are to be performed within a timely manner.
Tasks include installation, maintenance, and repairs of electrical and instrumentation wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Ensure that work is in accordance with the relevant Australian and mining standards and regulations codes.
Based in the picturesque coastal town of Hopetoun, Western Australia, this is a residential role offering relocation support and company housing.
Key Accountabilities
Ensuring that all electrical and instrumentation maintenance is carried out in a safe and efficient manner, to assure maximum reliability and uptime.
Meeting set work targets for daily work group activities in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.
Achieving results through prioritising activities, delegating and monitoring the progress of assignments, and holding yourself accountable for the results.
Motivate yourself and others in overcoming obstacles and achieving goals.
Maintain good Fieldbus installation standards to ensure on-going reliability of Fieldbus system.
Ensure that data displayed on the DCS system corresponds with the calibration of field.
Instrumentation to the required resolution and accuracy as laid down by the Company's calibration procedure.
Capable of fault finding on Instrumentation control loops.
Maintenance on all plant electrical and instrumentation equipment.
Working on motor control systems.
DCS wiring.
High voltage motors & Low voltage motors and switch gear.
Maintain High and low voltage variable speed drives.
Battery systems for high voltage protection relays and UPS.
Substation Maintenance.
Overhead power line from the mine to a sea water intake and booster pump stations.
Qualifications and Skills
Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician or equivalent.
Demonstrated experience working in mining industry.
Sound knowledge of low voltage switchboards, motor controls, starters and protection systems.
Knowledge of high voltage systems would be an advantage.
Experience with automation systems such as SCADA, PLC and VSD controllers would be an advantage.
Ability to interpret and understand complex engineering drawings and documentation.
Valid Class C driver's license.
Able to pass pre-employment medical examination.
Able to pass a drug test.
