About the Company: A WA owned and operated construction company who have been a key part of delivering a range of major projects across the state for close to 40 years. Their impressive portfolio of work makes them a sought-after brand in the market and the variety of public and private sector work allows for stability and continuity. Operating across infrastructure and resources, they offer a wide variety of technically challenging, major construction projects. They are currently looking for Senior Contract Administrators & Contract Administrators for a major infrastructure project that involves major underground services upgrades and working closely with local authorities including Water Corp.
The role is a site-based position. You'll take charge of the entire contract management process—from procurement through to project close-out. You'll work alongside Project Managers, the Construction Manager, and the Commercial Manager, driving procurement and commercial outcomes during project delivery. You'll pull together cost and financial insights to produce clear, accurate monthly valuations and project cost reports. You'll be on site with project teams, not just behind a desk, so a proactive mindset and sharp eye for detail are essential. You will assist teams with procurement, processing of payments and claims, cost forecasting and reporting of projects in accordance with the reporting timetable, and assist in the production of reports as required by the Project Manager.
To thrive in this position, you'll also need to showcase your proven track record in:
* Drafting and negotiating of subcontracts, variations and claims through to closeout
* Participating in the review and assisting with the negotiation and execution of variations and claims to client contracts and subcontracts
* Contract administration to support execution, including correspondence and contract notices and claims assessment
* Project cost reporting and forecasting
* Knowledge and implementation of contracts
Experience Required
* Tertiary Qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering or Quantity Surveying is preferred but not essential.
* Experience in the civil construction industry and a good understanding of a range of complex contracts, ideally on projects more than $20mil
* Demonstrated strong competency in procurement, forecasting
* Strong knowledge of contract admin – both head and subcontract, experience in compiling delay notices, variations, RFI's, contractual notices
* Previous experience and dealings with Water Corp are highly regarded.
