About The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity is available for a Permanent Part-Time Medical Secretary to join the friendly and supportive team at Macarthur Cancer Therapy, within South Western Sydney Local Health District. This job-share role supports oncologists and the wider multidisciplinary team with clinic preparation and a range of administrative duties including medical letter creation, referrals, scanning, minute taking, and managing phone and email enquiries. The position suits someone who is organised, approachable, and able to work well in a team, with strong communication skills and confidence using Microsoft Word, Excel, and electronic medical record systems such as MOSAIQ. The role is part-time with fixed hours on Mondays and Tuesdays, working 8-hour shifts with availability required between 7:30am and 5:00pm.
What You'll Be Doing
To provide Secretarial and Administrative support to the Oncology and Palliative Care Staff Specialists within the Macarthur Cancer Therapy Centre. To act as a liaison person, maintaining good communication with all levels of staff within the department, other departments of the hospital, outside agencies and visitors. Attend to the needs of customers of Macarthur Cancer Therapy Services courteously, with diplomacy and always maintaining the confidentiality required of the position.
