About the Opportunity
Due to continued growth, we are seeking passionate and collaborative Senior School teachers to join our team in 2026 and beyond. We welcome applications from qualified teachers in the following subject areas:
* English
* Information Technology
* Specialist Mathematics
* Engineering
* Religious and Values Education (RST)
Leadership opportunities are also available.
Senior School teachers at Burgmann work with students from Years 9 to 12, fostering academic achievement, character development and future readiness. We are looking for educators who are reflective, flexible and committed to creating engaging learning environments that respond to the needs of diverse learners.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver curriculum in your subject area for students in Years 9 to 12
* Prepare and maintain quality teaching and learning materials
* Collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to faculty planning
* Participate in curriculum review and development
* Engage in professional development activities and whole-school initiatives
* Build positive relationships with students and families
* Contribute to the school's co-curricular program (as required)
* Support the Christian ethos of an Anglican school
Pastoral Care
All Senior School teachers are also Pastoral Care teachers. In this role, you will:
* Lead a Pastoral Care group and build strong, respectful relationships
* Monitor student uniform, conduct and general wellbeing
* Deliver the school's Pastoral Care curriculum
* Communicate with families regarding academic and pastoral matters
* Undertake relevant administration and reporting tasks

Salary, Terms and Conditions
The successful applicant will be employed under the Independent Schools (Teachers) Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2025. Salary will be determined according to qualifications and years of experience.
