Continuing, Full‐Time (Part‐Time is negotiable). School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Sciences. CQUniversity Cairns, Bundaberg or Rockhampton (Working from home is negotiable). Total remuneration $102,517 to $132,833 pa, including salary of $86,629 to $112,246 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading. Relocation support available.
Job Summary
The School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Sciences offers a wide range of vocational education and training certificates, alongside undergraduate and postgraduate degrees across a number of health disciplines. Courses are delivered through on‐campus and flexible online learning to meet the needs of diverse learners and communities. The School is seeking a passionate and committed Associate Lecturer in Midwifery to join our academic team. This position contributes to high‐quality teaching within the Bachelor of Midwifery (Graduate Entry) and related midwifery courses, delivered on campus and through online learning modes. You will support student learning through tutorials, practical and clinical sessions, assessment, and the development of engaging and contemporary learning materials. You will also contribute to the teaching effort of the School, maintain and develop your scholarly, research and/or professional practice relevant to the discipline. Teaching duties will be undertaken with a high standard of planning, preparation, delivery and assessment to ensure students achieve unit and course objectives.

Position Requirements
Essential
* Current registration as a Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (Ahpra).
* Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in midwifery.
* Minimum of three years' full‐time, or equivalent, clinical midwifery experience.
* Familiarity with university standards and academic writing, including researching, writing and referencing assessments.
* Demonstrated ability to teach and supervise undergraduate university students.
* Understanding of contemporary professional, clinical and educational issues relevant to higher education.
* Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with students and colleagues, and to contribute to the development of innovative teaching materials that support student learning outcomes.
* In‐person liaison with industry partners and students undertaking clinical placements, including driving reasonable distances and occasional overnight stays.
* Willingness to engage in research and scholarly activities, including publications, conference participation, research grant activity, and contribution to research teams.
* Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in midwifery.
Desirable
* Experience in unit coordination within a higher education setting.
