About the Role
As a Parts Interpreter Trainee, you'll be the link between our workshop, trade customers, and retail clients – providing expert advice and delivering outstanding service. This entry-level role is ideal for someone with a passion for cars, a strong work ethic, and a desire to learn.
You'll receive on-the-job training in interpreting parts, inventory management, and customer service – helping to lay the foundations for a rewarding career in the automotive industry.
Key Responsibilities
• Respond to customer inquiries at the counter and over the phone
• Order parts from internal warehouse and external suppliers
• Package, dispatch, or deliver requested parts efficiently
• Manage daily and emergency stock orders accurately
• Receive and organise stock deliveries
• Conduct regular stocktakes to track and value inventory
• Maintain accurate system records of all parts and transactions
• Assist with trade and retail parts sales
• Support internal workshop needs with timely parts supply
What We're Looking For
• A strong interest in the automotive industry
• Previous experience in a dealership or as a Parts Interpreter is a bonus – but not required
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Great attention to detail and strong organisational abilities
• A friendly, team-first attitude
• Basic understanding of automotive systems (advantageous)
• Sound computer skills, including MS Office
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
• A professional appearance and approach
• Manual driver's licence is essential
