Dental Receptionist / Dental Assistant (Front Desk Focus)

SJ Dental is a family-owned, locally operated dental clinic in Wodonga, providing friendly, high-quality care to the Albury–Wodonga community. We're looking for a reliable, warm and organised team member to join us for an immediate start.
Experience is preferred but not essential — we're happy to train the right person with a great attitude.

The role (mainly Front Desk Reception)
You'll be the first point of contact for our patients and help keep the day running smoothly.
Key duties include:
* Greeting patients and delivering exceptional customer service
* Answering phones, emails and booking appointments
* Managing the appointment book (confirmations, recalls, reschedules)
* Processing payments, health fund claims and invoices
* Assisting with patient enquiries and treatment estimates
* Maintaining accurate patient records and confidentiality
* General admin support and keeping reception areas tidy and welcoming

Secondary duties (Dental Assisting as needed)
On some days, you may also assist the clinical team.
This may include:
* Chairside assisting (four-handed dentistry)
* Instrument processing and sterilisation
* Preparing/cleaning surgeries between patients
* Stock setup and restocking consumables
* Following infection control and clinical protocols

* Strong organisation and attention to detail
* Comfortable with computers and learning practice software
* Team player with a "jump in and help" mindset
* Reliable, punctual, and able to handle a busy schedule
* Previous dental reception/assistant experience is a plus, but not required
