Position Overview
Eimeo Road State School is looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, and positive Schools Officer (Grounds and Facilities) to help maintain a safe, welcoming, and well‐kept school environment.
The preferred applicant will have proven hands‐on experience in building/facility and/or lawn and garden maintenance.
This is a progressive position as per the Role Description. The successful applicant will be appointed to the lower classification with eligibility for progression to the next classification once specific criteria have been met or demonstrated. Salary rate shown is reflective of both classification ranges.

Key Responsibilities
* Maintain effective communication with the Principal and Business Manager regarding scheduled and urgent maintenance tasks.
* Attend to repairs and maintenance within the school, including those that relate to furniture and equipment, locks and windows, and other school facilities.
* Undertake maintenance of school grounds through regular mowing; lawn and garden maintenance including weeding, use of appropriate insecticides and fertilisers, plant, water and care of trees, shrubs and gardens; undertake general maintenance of grounds care equipment such as mowers, whippersnippers, blowers, gerny's, etc.
* Ensure compliance with WPS guidelines and procedures, including safe storage and handling of chemicals, fertilisers and fuel.
* Report safety hazards.
