Beenleigh State High School is seeking a full-time or part-time permanent Schools Officer - Grounds & Facilities (primarily Grounds) to join our team. In this role, you will perform a variety of tasks to ensure the school grounds are maintained to a high standard, with no two days being the same.

About the role

As the Schools Officer (Primarily Grounds), you will play a vital role in maintaining the school's grounds and facilities to a high standard, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for students, staff, and the community.

Key responsibilities include:

* Maintaining school ovals, gardens, and grounds through mowing, watering, weeding, and pruning.
* Performing general maintenance of grounds care equipment and arranging regular servicing.
* Ensuring compliance with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements, including safe storage and handling of chemicals and equipment.
* Coordinating rubbish removal and assisting with repairs to fences, gates, and irrigation systems.
* Preparing and maintaining outdoor sporting facilities and supporting agricultural activities as required.
