Summary:
The Export Operations role is crucial in ensuring the seamless flow of international shipments while delivering exceptional customer service. This role can be based in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth or Adelaide. The position involves managing customer interactions, processing shipments, and maintaining compliance with international shipping regulations. The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing customer satisfaction and operational efficiency within the International Freight Forwarding Industry.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain constant communication with customers to understand and fulfill their needs effectively.
- Report customer issues to the Exports Manager and escalate to the National Forwarding Manager when necessary.
- Provide tailored customer reports that align with their specific requirements.
- Respond promptly to queries, freight bookings, orders, and inquiries to ensure timely resolutions.
- Ensure competitive freight rates are updated and utilized for all live quotations and bookings.
- Keep customer organization details in CW1 updated with current information and changes.
- Ensure billing is processed accurately and on time according to agreed rates.
- Stay informed about international shipping regulations, trade agreements, and updates from ABF/Quarantine.
- Develop strong relationships with internal teams to enhance the overall customer experience.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in international freight forwarding or customer service within the logistics industry.
- Strong understanding of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and INCOTERMS.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in using CRM software.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a quick-paced, deadline-driven environment.
