About The Role:
As catering supervisor, you will play a vital role in organising catering to the boarding house and delivering exceptional dining experiences to our valued customers. From food preparation to service, your hands-on approach and commitment to high standards will ensure the smooth operation of this busy kitchen and dining environment.
Pay: $26.70 base hourly rate + super
Fixed Roster:
* Five days per week - During school term time
* Monday to Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Key Responsibilities:
* Organising & delivering various supplies for the boarding houses
* Developing and maintaining strong relationships with the boarding house team
* Preparing dining areas for service and serving meals to boarding students
* Delivering friendly and efficient customer service
* Serving customers in the café
* Washing dishes and maintaining cleanliness in kitchen, service and dining areas
* Assisting with food preparation, such as peeling/chopping vegetables, and making sandwiches and salads
* Supporting the preparation and service of functions and conferences
* Adhering to food hygiene, security, and safety practices at all times
Key Attributes And Requirements:
* Driver's License - Essential for this role
* Prior experience in a busy kitchen environment
* Proven ability to assist with various aspects of kitchen operations and food service
* Strong teamwork skills and the ability to take direction effectively
* Reliability and flexibility to accommodate rostered hours
* Motivated, enthusiastic, and a team player
* Exceptional cleanliness and food safety practices
* Ability to comply with OH&S and food safety guidelines
* Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment during peak service periods
