Position Overview
The Sponsorship & Partnership Lead plays a pivotal role in securing, developing and managing mutually beneficial sponsorships and partnerships that elevate MAV's events, programs and initiatives. You'll combine strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery as you lead sponsorship acquisition, relationship management, proposal development, benefit fulfilment and brand activation across a packed annual events calendar.
As MAV's primary contact for sponsors, you'll build trusted long‑term partnerships, ensure high-quality activations, and help transition MAV from opportunistic sponsorship to a strategic, portfolio‑based model aligned with organisational priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Sponsorship Coordination & Development
Lead the development and implementation of a strategic sponsorship framework, policies and risk management processes.
Identify, pursue and secure sponsorship opportunities aligned with MAV's priorities.
Design consistent sponsorship structures, valuation approaches and benefit entitlements.
Develop compelling proposals, prospectuses and value propositions.
Strengthen internal capability through guidance, templates and processes.
Event Planning & Delivery
Contribute to end‑to‑end delivery of MAV conferences, programs and events.
Integrate sponsorship requirements into event design, planning and communications.
Coordinate logistics including venue liaison, AV, scheduling and on‑site activations.
Ensure compliance with event, procurement, finance and risk protocols.
Oversee data integrity within CVent and CRM systems.
Network & Relationship Management
Build values‑aligned relationships with sponsors and partners that deliver mutual benefit.
Maintain accurate CRM data and respond to stakeholder enquiries within service standards.
Communications & Promotion
Collaborate with Communications to promote events and sponsorship engagement across MAV's digital channels.
Contribute to marketing materials including EDMs, agendas, flyers and event collateral.
Evaluation & Data Management
Track, evaluate and report on sponsorship performance, value and risks.
Support post‑event feedback processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
Team Contribution & Organisational Alignment
Model MAV values and contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture.
Support organisation-wide projects and colleagues during peak periods.

What You'll Bring
Demonstrated experience in end‑to‑end event coordination, sponsorship management and partnership development.
Ability to build and maintain strong, values‑aligned relationships with sponsors, suppliers and stakeholders.
Strong organisational skills, commercial judgement and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficiency in CRM systems, CVent, digital tools and event technologies.
Experience within public sector, peak body or membership organisations (desirable).
