About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to broaden your experience with a rapidly growing Corporate & Commercial Practice Group. Our true meritocracy model promotes individuals based on their contribution, rather than outdated structures.
As a key member of our Norwest Corporate practice, you will work on a diverse range of matters, including private treaty M&A, general commercial advice, acting for franchisors, strategic advice, and corporate governance work. This role offers a unique chance to work on matters from government, publicly listed local and foreign companies, to medium, family, and emerging businesses that make up our prominent client base.
Key Responsibilities
* Private M&A (with a healthy mix of buy-side and sell-side mandates)
* Advising on structuring and documenting a wide range of commercial arrangements
* Transactional and general commercial work for high-profile franchisor clients and IP, Technology, and Media clients
* Corporate governance and director duties advice
* Business set-up, structuring, shareholder agreements, and related documentation
Requirements
* Corporate advisory experience (i.e. M&A, general corporate/commercial) from a reputable firm background
* Driven individual with a great attitude to work and life
* Procurement, supply, and distribution agreements
* PPSR experience preferred but not essential
* IP/IT experience preferred but not essential
* Franchisor work preferred but not essential
* Strategic and critical thinking capabilities
