The Company
On behalf of an established & reputable purpose driven organisation, we are seeking a motivated Payroll Officer to join the team of devoted and loyal staff. This role is based in the Inner suburbs of Melbourne, minimum 3-month contract with options to extend or convert into a longer term permanent opportunity.
The Role
For this position we are on the lookout for an engaging candidate with 3-5 years of experience in payroll. Reporting to the Director of Payroll, your day‑to‑day responsibilities will include:
* Ensure accurate payment of wages for corporate and casual staff, superannuation and government taxes
* Manage any payroll related queries coming from staff to head office
* Processing, reconciling and clearing month end figures
* Ensure payroll data is accurately prepared and ready before each payroll run.
* Assist with payroll reporting, including year‑end
Your Profile
Our client is looking for someone who has previously worked in a volume-based payroll environment and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves.
The successful candidate will have:
* Minimum 3 year's experience of end to end payroll processing
* Strong understanding of different EBAs and Awards
* Experience with different payroll software
* The ability to work autonomously as required but also have a cohesive attitude towards the team
