This position involves working in a dynamic food manufacturing environment with a unique range of equipment.
We are seeking highly motivated individuals for a 4-year apprenticeship program in mechanical maintenance.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn a skilled trade and work in our modern production facilities.
Upon completion, the apprentice will obtain a nationally recognised qualification (Cert III Engineering - Mechanical).
Duties include taking part in safety initiatives, learning industry best practices, using hand tools, electrical and pneumatic powered tools and equipment, lathes, machining equipment, welding, sheet metal fabrication, and problem solving.
You will work in a workshop environment and on the production floor, interacting and collaborating with maintenance, engineering and production teams.
Ideal candidates have successfully completed school based engineering modules or have work experience in a similar trade.
Possess a genuine interest in learning a mechanical fitting trade, display good basic knowledge of tooling, materials and mechanical aptitude, demonstrated problem solving skills, strong mathematical and English attributes, intermediate IT skills, be an Australian Citizen or hold formal permanent residency, possess a driver's licence and demonstrate superior communication skills.
You will be required to commit to a 4 year apprenticeship and undertake a pre-employment medical assessment including a urine based drug and alcohol screen.
