Chef – Production Location: Morningside, QLD
Pay Rate: $26.70 per hour + salary packaging bonus

About the Role
Our client are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef – Production to join their team. Reporting to the Production Manager and General Manager, this role is responsible for ensuring a consistently high standard of food preparation in a safe, timely, and hygienic manner.
You will work closely with internal teams including volunteers, support office, stores, and cleaners, as well as external stakeholders such as suppliers, volunteer groups, corporate sponsors, and donors.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare all meals in accordance with standard recipes
* Recipe writing, development, and delivery
* Ensure compliance with food safety and statutory requirements
* Manage stock ordering, rotation, and control
* Lead and train staff and volunteers
* Maintain a safe and clean kitchen environment
Essential Criteria
* Trade qualifications in cookery
* Hands-on experience in commercial and production cookery
* Kitchen management experience, including staff training
* Strong knowledge of cost control systems
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
Preferred Criteria
* Customer service / food service experience
* Current food handling certification
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Knowledge of HACCP and health regulations
* Leadership skills and ability to develop a team
* Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
