Role Overview
The Lending Manager at Ume Loans is a leadership position responsible for overseeing the success of our credit team. This role is integral to ensuring that Ume Loans delivers accessible, transparent, and customer-centric finance solutions to the diverse variety of customers we assist.
The Lending Manager will lead a dedicated team, drive operational efficiency, develop talent, and maintain our rigorous compliance standards. They will also work in collaboration with the Head of Lending & Recoveries to foster and maintain key relationships with introducers, such as finance brokers and aggregators.
The Lending Manager will be expected to champion the company's mission of providing second-chance financial opportunities to customers who may not qualify for traditional lending products.
They will ensure that Ume Loans' credit policies and processes are effective, fair, and aligned with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and customer needs.
As this role requires a high level of collaboration, and we highly value our team members being able to work in a team environment, this role requires the successful candidate to work full-time in our purpose built offices right here on the beautiful Sunshine Coast.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
* Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Credit team to achieve business objectives.
* Cultivate a culture of excellence in service delivery, accountability, and innovation within the credit operations team.
* Monitor team performance, set clear goals and KPIs, and provide ongoing support and development opportunities to team members.
Credit Operations Management
* Oversee the credit assessment and underwriting processes, ensuring that all lending decisions are based on sound credit policies and procedures.
* Drive the continuous improvement of credit risk management frameworks, ensuring robust processes for assessing, approving, and managing credit applications.
* Monitor and manage credit risk, working closely with your senior leaders to ensure that the lending portfolio is in line with the company's risk appetite.
Remuneration:On offer with this full-time position is a salary that will be in alignment with the experience being brought to the role, in addition to team performance-based bonus incentives.
