About the Role
As a Building Service coordinator, you will have responsibility for the effective operation and maintenance of the building, plant and equipment while managing performance & compliance of the Processing Centre and Building Services.
You will utilise your expertise to problem-solve and advise on complex facility-related issues, making timely decisions to support the efficient, sufficient, and timely provision of safe blood and blood products within a service‐excellence culture.
Responsibilities
* Manage all facets of the Building Engineering Information Management System, associated assets, servicing & maintenance, ensuring they are in accordance with benchmarks and predetermined requirements.
* Maintain administration & performance of contractors and subcontractors to meet compliance requirements with current best practices, relevant Australian Standards, legislation, regulatory compliance, and Lifeblood policies.
* Plan, schedule, and manage change plans as required to upgrade existing facilities, plant and equipment.
* Maintain a high level of commitment to OHS, quality systems, quality control measures and application.
* Undertake scheduled on‐call duties for Building Services and environmental functions.
* Work under tight schedules to manage contractors, processes and systems whilst collaborating and communicating with other team members.
Qualifications
* Ability to handle multiple contractors (including compliance) while working autonomously.
* Experience in planning and scheduling of maintenance work and effective management of systems, equipment & services.
* A problem solver and decision maker who looks after cost‐effective measures for development & improvement opportunities.
* Readiness to cover on‐call hours every fourth week for seven days.
* Technical qualification in HVAC or Refrigeration or Electrical or Trade Qualification like Plumbing is desirable.
* A team player who can adapt and step up when required, representing the Building Management Team in day‐to‐day activities and capital project works.
* Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements is desirable.
