Job Description

We are seeking an experienced QHSE Manager to join our team at the Dampier Bulk Handling Facility project.

The project involves the construction of a wharf structure to support the export of urea in bulk quantities through the Port of Dampier. The position is on a 20:8 rotation to site in Karratha.

* Implementing and promoting a culture of zero harm, focusing on health, safety, and environmental management systems and processes.
* Presentation of environmental strategies and plans, results, and incident reviews to project management teams.
* Delivery of environment results from project-wide audit programs and provision of reports and reviews on incident and HSE performance across the project.
* Ensuring behaviours required, training, engagement, coaching, and accountability support for leaders in achieving the zero-harm culture.
* Advice and support for management and staff on health, safety, and environmental best practices.
* Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
* Development and implementation of health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
* Monitoring and enforcement of compliance with local, state, and federal HSE regulations.
* Provision of HSE training and support to employees at all levels.
* Leadership of incident investigations and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
* Preparation and submission of regular QHSE reports to senior management.


Required Skills and Qualifications

* Proven experience (7+ years) as a QHSE Manager in construction or related industries.
* Degree / Advanced Diploma or equivalent qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
* Strong knowledge of QHSE regulations, risk assessment, and environmental management.
* Influence and drive a safety culture across all levels of the organisation.
* Experience in the construction, commissioning, and operation of onshore/near-shore marine or similar projects.
* High level of communication and interpersonal skills.
