We have positions available for immediate start, within a stable work environment for
Unskilled Meat Workers
with no experience in meat processing based in Warrnambool, Victoria.
Main Duties & Responsiblities
* Packing of meat into boxes or plastic bag
* Marshaling of carcasses and carton into refrigerator, freezers and shipping container, manual lifting required
* General tidying up slaughter floors and boning rooms, by using shovels and brooms
* Assisting with removal of hides, fore & hind hock from carcasses, manual and mechanical
* Attaching a shackle chain around the rear leg of a cattle and lifting carcasses forelegs into cleats in the slaughter chain
* Removal of animal tail by using a knife
* Folding pre-cut cardboard into a carton and insert plastic liner
Skills & Experiences
* You must be reliable, physically fit and willing to work as part of a team
* You understand the importance of good hygiene, attention to detail and following procedures
* You must have the right to work full-time in Australia (38 hours/week)
* You must pass a drug & alcohol test and be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical if required
* You have already had a Q Fever vaccination or are willing to participate in the vaccination process.
