Join Zoos Victoria as a Horticulturist to maintain and renew landscapes at Werribee Open Range Zoo, contributing to wildlife conservation.
Your Role
Key responsibilities include:
Maintaining existing landscapes, lawns, pasture, and exhibits to agreed horticultural standards
Undertaking landscape renewal and land management across gardens, browse plantations, exhibits, and natural habitats
Working collaboratively with team members, taking direction from Horticulturists, Coordinators, and the Horticulture and Grounds Manager
Contributing to delivering high standards of horticultural maintenance and project outcomes
About You
The company is looking for:
Strong interest and/or experience in horticulture
Certificate III or equivalent qualification in a relevant horticulture discipline
Current Victorian driver's licence
Proven ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a positive team culture
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
Commitment to safe work practices
Compensation & Benefits
Full-time ongoing position, Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week
Salary Band Trade 1 ($69,181 plus 12% superannuation)
