About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on and reliable Forklift Technician to join our team in Sydney. This role is ideal for candidates with mechanical experience who are eager to expand their expertise in forklift and heavy equipment maintenance.
As part of DJJ Equipment, you’ll work with a wide range of electric and diesel forklifts and receive structured training from experienced senior technicians. You’ll build long-term technical skills, gain exposure to real-world service challenges, and develop a rewarding career in the machinery industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Forklift Maintenance & Repair
Perform inspections, routine servicing, and repairs on forklifts (electric, LPG, and diesel). Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues under supervision or independently, depending on experience.
- Workshop Operations
Support workshop tasks including equipment checks, tool preparation, and repair of mechanical/hydraulic systems. Maintain a clean and secure working environment.
- Field Service Support
Travel with senior technicians to customer sites for on-site servicing and breakdown repairs. Learn troubleshooting methods and customer service skills.
- Hydraulic, Electrical & Mechanical Systems
Gain hands-on experience with forklift hydraulic systems, electrical controls, and engine components. Develop diagnostic skills to identify and resolve equipment issues.
- Parts & Tools Handling
Manage spare parts, prepare tools, and ensure equipment is ready for service jobs.
Who We’re Looking For
- Prior experience in forklift, automotive, or heavy machinery repair is a strong advantage
- Mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills (hydraulics, electrical, engines)
- Valid driver’s license preferred
