Sitting within the Corporate Services Division, you'll partner with stakeholders across the business to solve problems, drive compliance, and support Toyota's mission.
This is a permanent, full-time position based in Port Melbourne.
How you'll make an impact Deliver practical, commercially focused legal advice across all aspects of the business.
Review and approve advertising and marketing materials to ensure compliance with consumer and competition laws.
Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements.
Manage customer disputes, litigation, and complaints, supporting the business in navigating risk and legal exposure.
Support the development of company policies and legal standards that balance compliance and business outcomes.
Monitor performance targets for your area, recommending countermeasures to ensure legal objectives are met.
Engage and manage external legal service providers, ensuring quality, value, and alignment with internal expectations.
Lead or contribute to legal forums, training, and knowledge sharing across the business.
Maintain accurate legal reporting and updates to support planning, forecasting, and continuous improvement.
Proactively identify regulatory risks and ensure the business remains compliant with all statutory requirements.
Your attributes - If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you Degree-qualified in Law and admitted to practise in Victoria.
Minimum 3 years' post-admission experience in a reputable law firm or in-house legal environment.
Generalist legal background with exposure to privacy and/or litigation matters preferred.
Strong commercial mindset with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
Experience supporting fast-paced, high-volume legal functions and managing multiple matters simultaneously.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and balance legal risk with business outcomes.
Previous experience in the automotive industry will be highly regarded.
