Overview
LFO Private Credit is a growing private credit platform backed by a family office, focused on asset-backed and structured lending opportunities across Australia, with increasing engagement with offshore capital partners.
As part of our next phase of growth, we are seeking an experienced Director – Private Credit to join in a light-touch advisory and board capacity, supporting the executive team on strategy, structure, funding and institutional engagement.
The Role
This is not a full-time operational role. It is designed for a senior, experienced professional who is already established and looking to contribute at a strategic level.
* The Director will act as a trusted adviser and board member, providing guidance across:
* Private credit platform structuring and governance
* Business operations and scaling considerations
* Financing structures, warehouse facilities and asset-specific leverage
* Engagement with domestic and offshore lenders, banks and capital partners
* Strategic introductions to key industry participants (where appropriate)
* Board-level oversight and contribution to major credit and strategic decisions
The role is predominantly remote, non-office based, and flexible. While day-to-day involvement is limited, the successful candidate must be contactable and engaged when required, particularly around key transactions, funding discussions or strategic decisions.
About You

* Private credit, structured finance or leveraged lending
* Banking, institutional lending or alternative asset management
* Credit funds, family offices or investment platforms
* Warehouse facilities, capital markets or offshore funding structures

You will likely be someone who:
* Has held senior roles (Director, Partner, MD, CIO, CRO or similar)
* Understands credit risk, governance and institutional expectations
* Is commercially minded and pragmatic
* Enjoys mentoring and advising management teams
* Values flexibility over full-time operational responsibility
* Previous board or advisory experience is highly regarded.
What's on Offer
* Flexible, part-time advisory and board role
* Exposure to a growing private credit platform with institutional ambition
* Ability to influence strategy, structure and capital partnerships
* Long-term relationship potential as the platform grows
