Senior Data Engineer
As the Senior Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for building and maintaining the core data pipelines and analytics datasets that underpin reporting and analytics across the business. The role combines data engineering and analytics engineering, covering both ingestion pipelines and the curation of production-ready datasets and analytics assets.
Responsibilities
* Design, build, and maintain production-grade data pipelines in Databricks
* Take ownership of existing ingestion pipelines and processes, improving performance, reliability, and data quality
* Build and maintain core data pipelines and analytics datasets that underpin reporting and analytics across the business
* Design and maintain well-structured data models across ingestion and analytics layers, including atomic source datasets and curated analytics tables
* Ensure clear data lineage, documentation, and traceability across data pipelines and transformations
* Implement and maintain CDC-based pipelines and incremental processing patterns
* Monitor production pipelines and datasets, proactively identifying and resolving data quality, reliability, or performance issues
* Implement appropriate data security and access controls to ensure safe use of production data
About You
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong Databricks experience who enjoys taking ownership of production systems, working across the stack, and helping shape the data function as it scales. You'll work closely with our data and engineering teams to ensure our data platform is reliable, scalable, and fit for decision-making.
* 5+ years' experience in a Data Engineer role
* Hands-on experience with Databricks in a production environment
* Advanced SQL skills and experience transforming large datasets
* Experience building and maintaining data ingestion pipelines
* Experience with CDC patterns and incremental data processing
* Experience with Spark or distributed data processing frameworks
* Familiarity with CI/CD workflows applied to data engineering
* Strong understanding of analytics engineering principles and layered data models
* Comfortable owning production systems and being responsible for data reliability and quality
* Able to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
