Forensic Science Queensland (FSQ) is seeking an accomplished senior executive to lead its corporate and frontline support functions at a critical stage of reform and organisational uplift. Reporting to the Director, this role is instrumental in strengthening governance, modernising systems and driving performance to enable the delivery of high-quality, contemporary forensic services to the Queensland Police Service and the Coroner's Court. As Deputy Director Corporate Operations, you will provide executive leadership across a diverse, multi-disciplinary portfolio, with responsibility for approximately 64 FTE and an annual budget of around $12.5 million, you will ensure robust governance frameworks, strategic resource allocation and alignment with whole-of-government priorities while embedding contemporary corporate practices across the organisation.
As a key member of the Strategic Leadership Group, you will partner closely with the Director and executive peers to shape and deliver enterprise-wide strategy, sponsor major programs of work and navigate the complexities of operating as an independent statutory authority within the justice system. This includes leading significant initiatives such as IT transformation, organisational design, large-scale infrastructure developments and broader reform activities that position FSQ as a world-class forensic agency.
You will be an experienced executive leader with a strong track record of leading complex corporate and public service delivery environments, driving transformation and strengthening organisational performance. You bring deep expertise in governance, finance and human resource management, with the capacity to design and implement enterprise-wide frameworks that enhance accountability, resilience and service quality. Your ability to provide strategic, evidence-based and courageous advice at senior executive and government levels will be matched by your talent for building trusted partnerships across government, industry and academia to deliver innovative, future-focused solutions.
