About the Role
We're seeking a Technical Account Manager (TAM) to join our Sales team, responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of existing client relationships.
This role suits someone who enjoys working closely with clients to understand their business, help them define where they want to go, and guide them through the technology decisions that support that journey.
While the primary focus is existing clients, this role also contributes to new business through professional networks, referrals, and market presence — representing CVD at industry and networking events and helping build our brand as a trusted advisor.
What You'll Be Doing
* Act as a trusted technical and strategic partner for assigned client accounts
* Work with clients to clarify business objectives and technology goals, translating these into practical, staged roadmaps
* Help shift clients from reactive problem solving to true partnership and advisory, supporting informed decision making
* Identify opportunities to improve, modernise, or optimise client environments across IT, cloud, voice, data, and security
* Articulate and demonstrate client value and ROI, such as improved productivity, reduced risk, clearer governance, or cost efficiency
* Contribute to organic account growth through well aligned upsell and cross sell opportunities
* Collaborate closely with internal teams including Business Modernisation, Projects, Service Management, and Technical Assurance to ensure solutions are realistic, supported, and well governed
* Participate in networking events, partner engagements, and industry forums to strengthen relationships and generate warm leads
* Stay current with technologies and industry trends, adapting your approach as client needs and the landscape evolve
About You
You're commercially aware, technically credible, and people focused. You likely bring:
* Experience in account management, technical sales, or a similar client-facing role within an MSP or technology environment
* Strong working knowledge of Microsoft technologies (e.g. Microsoft 365, cloud and security concepts)
* The ability to translate technical concepts into clear, practical advice for non technical stakeholders
* Confidence engaging with clients at both operational and strategic levels
* Comfort building and leveraging professional networks in a genuine, relationship‐led way
* A desire to keep learning in a fast moving, ever changing industry
