The opportunity
With a focus on fleet lifecycle management, our Fleet Officer plays a key role in fleet procurement, strategy, financial management and compliance. You'll be responsible for Councils Fleet Asset Register, plant audits, coordinating vehicle handovers with operators, managing the annual renewal of registration including Common Expiry Date and third-party insurance of all Council's plant and equipment. As part of the Fleet and Smart Infrastructure team, you will also administer Council's CCTV network and In Vehicle Management System (IVMS).
Success in this role comes with a solid understanding of fleet management, and experience in the motor vehicle industry, allowing you to provide sound advice and strong customer service to our key stakeholders across the organisation.
Key responsibilities
* Manage fleet-related records and processes, including Fleet Asset Register and plant audits
* Coordinate vehicle handovers with operators
* Oversee the annual renewal of registration including Common Expiry Date and third-party insurance for all Council's plant and equipment
* Administer Council's CCTV network and In Vehicle Management System (IVMS)
Qualifications
* A Certificate III or higher in a relevant field, and/or Fleet Management Certificate
* Demonstrated experience in motor vehicle industry and fleet maintenance management systems
* Demonstrated well developed written and oral communication skills

* Base Salary Range: $69,600 to $81,716 pa based on 35 hours per week + 12% superannuation + $2,464 retention allowance + $11,211 car allowance
