Heidelberg Materials Australia have an opportunity for a Quarry Materials Technicians to join the team at our NATA Accredited Laboratory based at our Skygate Lab near Brisbane Airport.
This is an excellent opportunity to enter the construction industry in a full-time technical role within one of Australia's leading construction materials suppliers.
In your new role, you will:
- Perform aggregate field sampling in the Quarry- Perform aggregate testing within the site laboratory- Carry out equipment calibrations- Ensure Laboratory NATA requirements are maintained- Assist the technical team- Daily use of computers and laboratory information management systems (LIMS)
This role is a excellent fit for you, if you have:
- A current Queensland manual provisional or open driver's licence- A robust work ethic and are physically fit.- A high level of literacy and numeracy skills (written & verbal) with excellent attention to detail.- Motivation, self-discipline, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Excellent Health and Safety behaviours- A Certificate III in Laboratory Techniques is highly regarded, but not essential.- Availability to work weekends and regular overtime- An ability to take ownership and manage your own area of responsibility without close supervision.
