Job Title:
As a skilled and dedicated healthcare professional, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to individuals and their families throughout their journey to becoming parents. You will work in a supportive team environment, promoting effective communication and teamwork within the ward and hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assess and plan patient care with support from senior staff as needed, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of services.
* Promote and contribute to effective communication, facilitating teamwork and cooperation within the ward and hospital.
* Provide patient education and act as a resource where appropriate, empowering patients to take control of their care.
* Support and supervise staff and students as required, including orientating and preceptoring staff to ensure seamless handovers.
* Contribute to the achievement of operational objectives by effectively communicating with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Requirements:
* Registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered/Nurse Midwife is essential.
* Demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction is critical in this role.
* Well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills are necessary for effective collaboration with colleagues.
* Ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multidisciplinary healthcare team is paramount.
