About the team
The Project Manager role sits within the Infrastructure Network Utilities Delivery – Water and Sewer team. The team comprises nine Project Managers and two Construction Inspectors responsible for delivering water and sewer infrastructure projects across the City.
This role contributes to the delivery of infrastructure projects by coordinating internal and external stakeholders and supporting the implementation of projects across a range of procurement methods. The Project Manager will manage components of water and sewer programs and projects, ensuring outcomes align with scope, budget, safety, quality, and time requirements.
About the role
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering capital works projects, including new infrastructure and asset renewals, across Council's water and sewerage network.
The role focuses on day-to-day project management activities such as contractor coordination, schedule and budget tracking, risk identification, and stakeholder communication. The Project Manager works under general direction, escalating complex issues as required, and contributes to the successful delivery of broader programs led by senior staff.
We're looking for people who have:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant and equivalent experience and knowledge
* Diploma in Project Management or relevant equivalent experience and knowledge
* Experience coordinating projects or project components within a multidisciplinary environment
* Ability to work collaboratively and support team outcomes
* Sound written and verbal communication skills
