Your new role
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for the following:
* Lead the month‑end and year‑end close, ensuring all journals, reconciliations, and reports are completed accurately and on time.
* Prepare and review key financial reports, including P&L analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, cash flow insights, and variance commentary.
* Manage core compliance tasks, such as BAS, payroll tax, and audit coordination, ensuring all obligations are met accurately and on schedule.
* Provide financial analysis and support, partnering with senior leaders on budgeting, forecasting, commercial decisions, and process improvements.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will meet the following requirements:
* Strong technical accounting foundation, supported by a relevant degree and CA/CPA qualification.
* Proven experience in month‑end, compliance, and financial analysis, with the ability to translate numbers into practical insights.
* Advanced systems and Excel capability, with confidence using ERP platforms and handling complex data.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder skills, with a proactive, detail‑focused approach and commitment to continuous improvement.
