About Our Role
* Base hourly rate of $54.08 for candidates holding both a Cert III Electrotechnology and Cert III Instrumentation & Control
* 15% afternoon shift allowance / 30% night shift allowance + weekend OT where available
* Electrical licence allowance $72.80 per week + tool allowance $23.28 per week
* Permanent, full‑time shift position at Simplot Kelso
* RDO accruals
* Opportunity to work on a unique array of food‑processing fixed plant and equipment
What You Will Do
* Identify faults and perform breakdown repairs to minimise downtime and micro‑stops caused by production machinery and equipment
* Inspect, test and maintain machinery & equipment in production areas and wider plant buildings & facilities
* Work with PLC and electronically controlled system diagnostics, fault‑finding, programming and connections
* Perform general plant and building maintenance work
* Undertake specific project work upon request
* Perform assigned tasks in accordance with all Simplot Safety, Health & Wellbeing and Environmental policies & procedures
* Utilise MEX CMMS to update work orders, search asset history and advise on maintenance trends or opportunities for improvement and innovation
* Take part in continuous improvement (CI) activities
About You
* 100% commitment to health, safety and wellbeing in the workplace
* Hold a Cert III Electrotechnology and Cert III Instrumentation and Control (Instrumentation cert is desirable)
* Demonstrated diagnostic, fault‑finding and troubleshooting skills
* Electrical related manufacturing / FMCG experience (mandatory)
* Experience in safety & quality systems and procedures
* Ability to read and interpret schematics
* Sound judgment and decision‑making ability
* High level of written and verbal communication skills and time‑management skills
* Intermediate user of CMMS software (MEX) and MS Windows OS
* Willingness to undergo pre‑employment medical including urine‑based drug & alcohol screening
