A loving family in Moorooka, QLD are seeking a warm, caring, and reliable nanny to help care for their daughter, aged 10 months. With no close family nearby, the family are looking for someone who can become a trusted, supportive presence in their lives a professional carer who will genuinely enjoy building a bond with their baby girl and supporting their little family.
This is a consistent, part-time position ideal for an experienced nanny who enjoys caring for babies and supporting a young family.
Days and Hours:
Mondays: 4.00pm - 7.00pm
Wednesday: 4:00pm 7:00pm
Thursday: 4:00pm 7:00pm
Some flexibility in the start/finish times and also option for just 2 days per week if this suits the nanny better Ideal Nanny:
You are:
- Warm, positive, easy-going, and empathetic
- Experienced with young children, especially babies
- Trustworthy and reliable, with strong communication skills
- Someone who enjoys forming lasting connections with the families you support
- Comfortable with pets and happy to help with light household tasks
Typical Day and Duties:
- Collecting in and folding laundry
- Putting dishes away
- Preparing simple, healthy family meals
- Caring for child after she arrives home: feeding, playing, and bathing
- Light errands (e.g., grabbing essentials from Woolworths, chemist, or post office if needed all within 5 minutes)
- Walking the dog (desirable, not essential)
Pets
The family have a gentle 15kg labradoodle, so you ll need to be comfortable with dogs.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience as a nanny or working in child care
- Childcare qualifications preferred
- Young baby experience
- Have a current first aid certificate (or happy to obtain one)
- Have a current Blue Card
- Display strong communication skills and speak English
- Non smoking
- Full drivers license and own car (For reliability and punctuality)
