The Gig An exciting opportunity is now available for a hands-on, delivery-focused Landscape Project Manager to take the reins of a growing business unit within a leading civil contractor. Focused on commercial landscape and civil packages up to $5 million, this role offers variety, ownership, and genuine growth potential. Based in Sydney and reporting to the COO, you’ll ply your trade to lead end-to-end project delivery, from interpreting plans and managing budgets to overseeing subcontractors and ensuring high-quality site execution. You’ll be involved in everything from tendering and cost control to people leadership and divisional planning, helping shape the long-term success of the landscape arm. Your understanding of construction sequencing, quality standards, and finishing techniques will be critical as you guide teams and stakeholders through complex builds with confidence. What you’ll be trusted with: Leading the planning, programming, and delivery of landscape packages up to $5M Overseeing site operations, subcontractors, and material supply to meet project specs Managing budgets, cost tracking, and procurement in line with financial targets Approving orders, running operations meetings, and resolving site challenges early Ensuring compliance with WHS, quality, and legislative requirements Driving defect management, project handover, and stakeholder satisfaction Contributing to team performance, mentoring, and long-term divisional growth Liaising with clients, consultants, and council representatives to ensure smooth delivery Coordinating internal teams, estimators, and support staff during project lifecycle Supporting future tenders and assisting with scope reviews and pricing when needed What’s in your toolbox? 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager in commercial landscape Horticulture / Landscape Qualifications Proven ability to lead end-to-end delivery on complex, high-quality builds Strong planning, budgeting, and contractor coordination skills Solid understanding of landscape construction methods, materials, and sequencing Confident communicator and team leader, able to build strong supplier and client relationships You lead with purpose and clarity, practical, organised, and focused on results.
