ABOUT THEM
This organisation is a well-established advanced manufacturing business operating out of Geelong, delivering highly engineered and precision-made components across a diverse and technically complex range of projects. Their work spans large-scale industrial manufacturing through to highly specialised applications, including components used in defence and aerospace, as well as more creative engineering projects that bring genuine variety to the role.
The site is a heavy industrial environment with evolving operations and a strong engineering focus. Safety is an important part of how work is done, and there is real opportunity for an HSE professional to contribute, influence and help lift standards in a practical, hands-on way.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager, the HSE Coordinator will support the day-to-day operation and continual improvement of the HSE management system. While the role is office-based, it has frequent and meaningful interaction with the factory floor, working closely with engineers, supervisors and operators to support safe systems of work and embed practical safety solutions.
The role is primarily based in Geelong, with occasional travel to other sites as required.
Key areas of responsibility include:
* Coordinating internal and external HSE audits, including tracking actions and supporting close-out
* Facilitating and supporting HSE Committee meetings
* Assisting with risk assessments and the ongoing management of site risks
* Supporting contractor safety management across the site
* Managing incident reporting and investigations, including corrective actions
* Preparing and maintaining HSE reporting across incidents, audits, actions, performance and compliance
This role suits someone who enjoys variety, structure and being actively involved in operations rather than working purely behind a desk.

* Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety (or similar)
* Working knowledge of WHS legislation and safety management systems
* Experience supporting incidents, audits, risk assessments and training
