Job Description

The Service

KU Kintaiba is a 59-place Long Day Care service nestled among the tranquil bushland of the University of Newcastle campus. Our architectural facility features four rooms dedicated to providing high-quality education and care for children up to 5 years old. We operate from Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, offering a supportive environment where both children and educators thrive.

The Roles

We are looking for educators with a completed Certificate III that have experience working with 0-5 year olds, excellent communication skills, and a strong ability to work as part of a team. You should be able to build strong relationships with both children and their families.

On a permanent basis, the team are looking for:

* Full time educator (Monday-Friday 8 hours per day) on a rotating roster, accruing a monthly rostered day off.
* Part time educator (Wednesday-Friday, 8 hours per day)

Applicants should have:

* Australian working rights
* A current NSW Working with Children Check
* An ACECQA recognised Certificate III qualification
* Completed Child Protection Training as well as demonstrated understanding of current child safe practices
* Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011)
* Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF)
