Offer description

What will you do?

1. Oversee the end‐to‐end delivery of embedded items, ensuring components are designed, manufactured, inspected, documented and delivered in full compliance with engineering, nuclear safety and quality requirements.
2. Act as the day‐to‐day engineering interface with the Tier 1 sub‐contractor responsible for embedded item fabrication.
3. Lead technical coordination across engineering, design, manufacturing and construction teams.
4. Ensure early and accurate interpretation of Engineering Design Releases and interface requirements.
5. Manage RFI, FCR and NCR processes in line with Sizewell C governance.
6. Review and approve manufacturing drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
7. Ensure compliance with nuclear‐grade quality requirements, including welding, NDT, material traceability and dimensional control.
8. Support design optimisation for manufacturability and installation sequencing.
9. Maintain configuration control and manage change through agreed governance routes.
10. Identify and mitigate risks across the manufacturing lifecycle.
11. Champion a strong culture of safety, quality and right‐first‐time delivery across the supply chain.
12. Support integration and installation activities once components are delivered to site.

What are we looking for?

13. A degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent experience).
14. Significant experience in off‐site fabrication of complex steel components or embedded parts.
15. Strong knowledge of large‐scale, regulated infrastructure projects, ideally within nuclear environments.
16. Proven experience managing suppliers and manufacturing performance.
17. The ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications and interface data.
18. A strong focus on health, safety and quality compliance.
19. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, solution‐focused approach.
20. Experience working within robust technical governance and configuration control processes.
21. Desirable experience includes nuclear new build projects, high‐volume manufacturing environments, NEC contracts, and digital manufacturing or stores management systems.
22. Appointment to this role is subject to security vetting, which typically requires UK residency for at least three of the last five years.
