**CNC Machine Shop Foreman - Toolmaking background**

- **We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised CNC Machine Shop Foreman to join our team.**_ This person is an excellent communicator, capable of managing customers expectations with business targets and outcomes.
The workshop; consists of 5-axis simultaneous CNC, various mills and lathes, vertical borers, Wire cutter and fabrication.
Our focused industries include Defence, Aerospace, Medical, Space, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Mining, Food & Beverage.
- **Experience and Requirements**_
- **Experience in all aspects of a machine shop - ie: Multi-axis, Manual and CNC**:
- **Experience in programming, setup and operating CNC machines is essential to guide staff in customer requirements**:
- **Knowledge and experience in welding and fabrication**:
- **Production planning is essential**:
- **Understanding of quality control procedures is important AS9100 and ISO9001. As a minimum; understanding of ISO9001 is acceptable.**:
- **Background of toolmaking or general CNC Machining is required - you will need to be able to help staff program CNC if required and run CNC machines**:
- The ability to read technical and engineering drawings to guide staff in customer requirements
- Ability to instruct, help and supervise staff
- Must be a hands-on person at all levels
- Skills and ability to use CAD/CAM eg: Mastercam, Edgecam and Solidworks
- Knowledge in General Engineering, Manufacturing, Jobbing shop environment is a must
- Ability to deal with all levels of management, and liaise with customers/suppliers
- Industrial maintenance skills are also highly regarded.

**About the Role**:
- Daily production planning of jobs including: machining, welding, fabrication, and industrial gearbox spare part manufacture
- Purchasing of tooling and daily consumables
- Read technical and engineering drawings to work with staff in manufacturing complex and standard components.
- Read technical and engineering drawings to work with customers and their requirements
- Liase and work with Additive Manufacturing Production Manager
- Work with all levels of management and staff
- Liase with customers and suppliers
- Help machinists program (including multi-axis) using Mastercam, and other CAD/CAM software
- Quality checking of all manufactured parts/components before despatch

Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
Supplementary Pay:
- Overtime pay
**Experience**:
- CNC Metal Machining: 4 years (preferred)
- Management: 2 years (preferred)
- Metal fabrication: 2 years (preferred)
