Job Title: Aboriginal Family Support Worker
We are seeking a dedicated individual to provide liaison and support services to children and their families attending the Child, Youth Assessment & Therapeutic Team. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring coordination and facilitation of appointments and follow-ups, while maintaining effective communication in a cross-cultural environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide culturally sensitive brokerage, liaison, advocacy, and support to clients.
* Culturally sensitive communication in a cross-cultural environment.
* Proven experience in providing support to Aboriginal children and families.
Requirements:
* Identifies as an Aboriginal person; recognised and accepted as an Aboriginal person by the Aboriginal community.
* Excellent communication skills including ability to communicate effectively in one or more local Aboriginal languages.
* Current Driver's Licence.
