Qualifications & Experience
Previous experience working in Residential Aged CareStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneouslyExcellent verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with residents, staff, and contractorsAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a team environmentHigh attention to detail with a commitment to quality outcomesStrong problem-solving skills to address maintenance and operational issuesKnowledge of relevant maintenance, safety, and compliance regulationsCustomer service–focused mindset with a commitment to resident wellbeingFlexibility and adaptability to respond to changing priorities and emergenciesProficiency in using maintenance tools and equipment (e.g. carpentry tools, painting supplies, power tools)Strong alignment with the values and vision of Pines Living, including promoting resident-centred care and diversity
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate suppliers and contractors, including:Ensuring completion of Contractor Preventative Maintenance SchedulesReviewing and renewing contractor service agreementsMonitoring contractor cost performanceReviewing contractor insurances, police checks, WWVP, and compliance documentationMaintaining contractor and supplier registersCoordinate new and special projects, including quotations and financial approvalsPerform hands-on maintenance within the scope of qualifications and experienceEnsure facility compliance with WHS, environmental, and legislative requirementsManage stock and equipment ordering (e.g. cleaning products, aged care equipment)Identify opportunities for innovation, capital improvements, and facility enhancementsCoordinate maintenance of ICT systems, including security, CCTV, access control, air-conditioning, and CBUS lighting systemsIdentify environmental improvements to enhance resident wellbeingMaintain weekly minutes as required by the Facilities Coordinator roleMaintain the Facility Risk Register and MSDS RegisterComplete facilities reporting requirements in line with Aged Care StandardsAssist with emergency management, including emergency responses and escalation plansDevelop and review policies and procedures to improve facility performanceMaintain senior-level reporting and engagement through regular team meetingsEnsure preventative maintenance schedules are completed within established timelinesConduct WHS and environmental audits as required
