About the Role:
Ballarat Assurance & Advisory Team
The Ballarat Assurance & Advisory team is experiencing unprecedented growth. At the same time, we are proud to have maintained our culture and reasonable working hours. Growth means a wealth of opportunities for talented and ambitious individuals looking to fast-track their careers.
We are seeking like-minded, talented auditors to join our growing team on a permanent basis and contribute to our success story.
In this role, you will work with diverse clients and stakeholders, including listed, private, not-for-profit, and government organizations. Your main duties will include managing a portfolio of clients through planning, delivering, and reporting on their audit requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
* Complete audit work papers by documenting audit tests and findings of significant and complex audit areas;
* Identify and address technical accounting and audit issues;
* Review financial statements to ensure compliance with Accounting Standards and preparation of reports and opinions to management;
* Conduct various audit engagements simultaneously with numerous engagement team members per audit;
* Assist with management and coordination of the audit team, including training, mentoring, and methodology compliance.
What You'll Need
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
* At least 2+ years' experience in auditing;
* Experience AICing a variety of jobs and supervising team members;
* Exceptional communication and people skills;
* CA qualified or near-qualified;
* A passion for contributing to a great team culture, serving clients, and making a difference;
* A working knowledge of Australian (or International) Auditing Standards and Australian Corporations Act;
* Inherent problem-solving skills and an inquisitive mind;
* A desire to add value by providing first-class service in response to client demands;
* Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
