**About the Role**
At Curtin University, we are proud to be the only University in Australia to offer an Oral Health Therapy degree. We currently have a part-time (0.6 FTE) permanent opportunity for a registered dental practitioner (Oral Health Therapist) to join us as a Lecturer or Associate Lecturer depending on qualification and experience.
This role will be based at the Oral Health Care of Western Australia (OCHWA) in Nedlands, as well as our Curtin Bentley campus.
Our dental teaching and learning facility provide a full range of preventative and restorative oral health therapy services to the Western Australian community.

**In this role, you will, but are not limited to**:
- Deliver high quality teaching to undergraduate students within the Oral Health Therapy course.
- Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing reflective improvement in teaching.
- Conduct tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations, workshops, student field excursions, clinical sessions, as appropriate, which stimulate and foster student learning.
- Assess and evaluate students work.
- Contribute to curriculum innovation and content design.
- Contribute to professional development training programmes for Oral Health Therapists and other dental professionals.
**Selection Criteria**
- A doctoral qualification or progress towards a doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline (or equivalent accreditation) and professional standing for Teaching Focused Clinical Professional role.
- Registered with AHPRA (or the equivalent Australian health professional regulatory authority).
- Demonstrated high level teaching skill and a demonstrated reflective approach to teaching delivery.
- An understanding of pedagogical theory and contemporary educational practice relevant to the discipline and experience of scholarship in teaching.
- Previous experience in clinical education.
- Demonstrated high-level communication and interpersonal and cultural skills.
- A commitment to the development of a collegial and supportive working environment.
- The ability to respectfully interact with students and staff.
**Role Requirements**:
- As this is a continuing (permanent) role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered.
- You are required to be a current AHPRA registered dentist with an interest and experience in teaching and learning.
