Based in the Oncology Day Unit at Armidale Rural Referral Hospital, you will join a state-of-the-art cancer centre serving the northern half of Hunter New England. Opened in 2015, this purpose-built facility delivers a full range of oncology and haematology services in a warm and supportive environment.

About the Role
As a Registered Nurse in the Oncology Day Unit, you'll provide safe and compassionate care to adult patients undergoing treatment for oncological and haematological conditions. This busy 8-chair, 1-bed unit operates Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays), delivering high-quality outpatient care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. You'll work alongside Clinical Nurse Consultants, a Nurse Practitioner, a McGrath Cancer Nurse, and Oncology Educators, ensuring patients and their families receive excellent support throughout their treatment journey. Supernumerary shifts at commencement will support your transition into the role, and ongoing oncology-specific training will be provided.
About You
Accredited in cannulation (highly desirable)
A proactive and compassionate nurse with a strong commitment to patient-centred care
A team player who enjoys working in a supportive and collaborative environment
Able to adapt in a busy clinical setting while maintaining professionalism and empathy
Motivated to learn and build expertise in oncology and haematology nursing
Relevant experience in acute care nursing (oncology/haematology experience desirable but not essential)
Requirements
Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
Relevant postgraduate qualifications in oncology nursing (or working towards)
