Our client is seeking a Cost Analyst to support the cost control team on a high-profile desalination plant project, currently in the early stages of construction. Based in Perth with occasional site travel, this 12-month contract offers exposure to large-scale project delivery, high-volume cost administration, and cross-functional collaboration. This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative experience (particularly in project or cost environments), excellent attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced team setting. Role Details: Title: Cost Administrator / Analyst Location: Perth-based, with occasional site visits (desalination plant in Northern WA) Duration: 12-month contract (potential extension if Stage 2 expansion is approved) Project Context: Coastal Water Project – $500M desalination plant; currently 13% through construction phase Key Responsibilities Support cost team with administrative tasks Assist with SAP data reconciliation and feeding into Unifier (project management software) Aid in CAR (Change Approval Request) preparation and revisions Handle contract variations and ensure accuracy in financial coding General document management and admin tasks in Unifier Preferred Candidate Profile Strong administration experience (ideally in a cost control/project environment) SAP experience is essential Unifier experience not required – training will be provided (though attention to detail is crucial) Prior site-based project or cost control experience is advantageous but not essential Comfortable in fast-paced, high-volume environments Strong team player with attention to detail and willingness to learn Work Arrangements Hybrid: 4 days in-office, 1 day WFH (aligned with current team expectations) Site Visits: Recommended (monthly or bi-monthly), likely day trips or overnight due to limited accommodation Flexibility to do more site visits if the candidate is interested Deliverables in First 3–6 Months Contribute to monthly cost reporting and reconciliation Assist with project expansion setup (Stage 2) Support seniors with documentation and admin related to cost control and CAR processes Help transition and maintain data integrity in Unifier Other Considerations Team culture is very important – respectful, collaborative, and resilient under pressure Candidates with extended leave plans will not be considered "Indigeco Acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and Recognise our Brothers & Sisters Connection to Land, Waters and Community.
