Job Overview
Byrnecut is seeking an Underground Project Manager based in Western Australia to lead project delivery, building strong client relationships and setting transparent standards across safety, quality, and productivity.
Responsibilities
* Take full ownership of project delivery, reporting to the Operations Manager.
* Build and maintain productive business relationships with stakeholders, including the workforce, subcontractors, and clients.
* Ensure compliance with all company reporting and contract administration requirements.
* Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and quality control across all contracted works.
* Recruit, retain, and manage a suitable workforce to meet contract obligations.
* Effectively manage all resources to deliver project objectives on time and within budget.
* Prepare budgets and collate data for progressive forecasting.
* Actively reduce costs through effective expenditure control and minimising wastage.
* Identify project risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
* Ensure all Byrnecut equipment is maintained in accordance with company policy.
Qualifications
* A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or previous experience as a Project Manager or Mine Superintendent/Foreman.
* Western Australian First Class Mine Managers Certificate of Competency (or ability to qualify).
* Extensive experience underground in both development and production mining disciplines.
* High-level understanding of general OHS with a demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
* Clear and concise verbal skills, with an advanced level of English reading and writing.
* Ability to understand, interpret and follow instructions.
* Ability to work to deadlines.
