We are partnering with a leading manufacturing business to appoint a Finance Business Partner into a role that sits at the intersection of finance, production, and supply chain. This is an opportunity for a commercially astute finance professional to step into a genuinely influential position, working shoulder to shoulder with leaders across the operation to improve cost performance, strengthen decision-making, and lift operational outcomes.
This role will suit someone who is energised by complexity and enjoys translating plant data into practical commercial insight. You will be as comfortable in conversations with production, engineering and technical teams as you are in the numbers, and you will take real pride in helping an operation perform better.
What you'll be doing
You will partner closely with manufacturing and supply chain stakeholders to provide clear visibility across plant performance, cost drivers, and operational efficiency. Your remit will include cost analysis, variance reporting, inventory and production insights, forecasting support, and helping the site leadership team understand where performance is being won or lost.
More importantly, you will not be sitting on the sidelines. This is a role for someone who wants to be embedded in the operation, building credibility with stakeholders, challenging constructively, and contributing to decisions that have a direct impact on margin, throughput, and overall site performance.
What we're looking for
We are looking for a strong operator in finance, not simply a technically capable accountant. You will bring experience from a manufacturing, FMCG, food, beverage, protein, dairy, or similarly complex operational environment where cost and performance really matter. You will understand standard costing, production variances, inventory, and plant-level reporting, but just as importantly, you will know how to influence people who do not work in finance.
The strongest candidates for this role will have a natural ability to connect with production leaders, ask the right questions, and turn financial information into something useful and actionable. You will be commercially curious, confident in your communication, and motivated by being close to the engine room of the business.
